I would like to invite you to attend the 2010 IAC Conference at Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest Romania from 14th to 17th April. This conference will take place in world marked by significant social, cultural and natural crises. These crises include weather disasters, earthquakes, economic meltdowns, a disease pandemic, and warfare in many parts of the world. These crises are significantly impacting the quality of life for scores of people worldwide as they struggle to meet their basic needs on a daily basis. We will gather in Bucharest to address ourselves to ways in which counselling, as both a profession and a process, can assist people in dealing with social, cultural, economic, and natural crises that impinge on human dignity. The focus of this conference will be on how counselling can add value to peoples' lives as they confront major global and regional challenges to health and well-being. This important conference will provide all delegates with the opportunity to reflect on the nature of counselling in an increasingly complex world. Please join us for this important opportunity to connect with international colleagues and explore ways to promote counselling as a global force for fostering human development and human dignity in a time of world crisis. Sincerely, Courtland C. Lee, Ph.D. President IAC ![]() | |||||
