Papers topics

The scientific committee of the 2010 IAC conference is inviting prospective delegates to submit Papers within the following strands:

  1. Counselling with Children and Young People in Crisis
  2. Counselling with Older People in Crisis
  3. Counselling to Promote the Integrity of the Family in Times of Crisis
  4. Counselling with Asylum Seekers and Refugees
  5. Counselling to Cope with Life-Threatening Illnesses
  6. Counselling People in Financially Challenging Times
  7. Promoting Peace and Human Rights through Conflict Management
  8. Counselling with Survivors of Natural Disasters
  9. Bridging the Economic Divide in Access to Technology
  10. Training Counsellors for Crisis and Trauma Work
 

Paper Presentations

Presentation sessions will be 90 minutes long including question and discussion time. There will be a maximum of 5 presenters in each session and each presenter will be allotted 10 minutes for an individual presentation. Presenters need to think of how their presentation will involve the participation of the delegates.

  • Abstracts will be peer reviewed.
  • Abstracts should be typed and not more than 750 words long.
  • The final paper should be relevant to counselling, psychotherapy or psychology.

  • The title of your presentation
  • Personal information: Name, organization, qualifications and experience (not more than 100 words)Your professional Counselling membership.
  • Audio-Visual requirements
  • Your personal contact details (Name, address, daytime phone including country and area code, mobile, email, and fax).
 

Terms and conditions

All abstracts need to be sent by electronic mail.
ABSTRACTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY January 31, 2010, to be eligible for consideration.

Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by February 15, 2010.
All scientific works will be published in a special volume and will be available for all conference delegates at the standard price of 5 Euro. The volume will be printed by our sponsor, UPG Ploiesti.
